Kate is all smiles as she attends Garter Day celebrations

Earlier today, Kate was all smiles as she took part in Garter Day celebrations with the Royal Family.

William was made a Knight of the Garter, becoming the 1,000th member of the Order – founded more than 600 years ago by Edward III, who sought to institute a band of knights similar to those on King Arthur's Round Table. Membership is restricted to Royals and 24 others, such as former prime ministers.

Kate looked elegant in a Katherine Hooker dove-gray, cowl neck dress and matching jewel cuffed Katherin Hooker 'Buxton' coat (Summer 2011 Collection). Her Rachel Trevor-Morgan 'Bespoke' headpiece, suede court shoes and suede clutch were also gray.

The coat was customized especially for Kate. Beaded lace trim was added to the cuffs and waistband. To fasten the coat and emphasize her tiny waistline an antique clasp was used. The coat material was silk and the color is 'Ash.'
Kate wore a diamond cruifix pendant, Kiki McDonough earrings (from the 'Grace Collection') and of course her gorgeous sapphire and diamond engagement ring.

Kate is wearing her hair half up.
