The Cambridge's Visit The Taronga Zoo

After attending a Sunday morning Easter service at St Andrew’s Cathedral, William and Kate took Prince George on an engagement to the Taronga Zoo.

First on the agenda, was a tour around the bilby enclosure by Cameron Kerr, the Zoo's director and chief executive, and Mr. Davies.

The family met George, a three-and-a-half-year-old bilby. His original name was Boy but he was renamed George two months ago to celebrate the Prince's birth last year.

Next, the couple unveiled a plaque that read: A national gift from the Commonwealth Government to commemorate the birth of His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge. In essence, this was to mark the official naming of the Prince George Bilby Exhibit.

George was handed over to his nanny, and taken off to the shade as the rest of the royal party went on to the tree kangaroo enclosure, where supervisor Vanessa Stebbings and keeper Sam Bennett encouraged them to feed the small marsupials.

They also stopped off to feed carrots to the giraffes before going on to view an Australian native animal show featuring a koala, a pink Galah bird, and other native animals.

The Duchess recycled a primrose-yellow, broderie anglaise frock by an unknown independent designer. She last wore this dress in 2012 during the Jubilee Tour to the Solomon Islands.
