Last night Kate attended the 50th Wildlife Photographer of the Year awards ceremony at the Natural History Museum in central London.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who is patron of the museum, joined television naturalist Sir David Attenborough to present one of the world’s most prestigious photography awards. She was scheduled to present awards to the overall winners of the adult and under-18s competitions.

Before the award ceremony began, Kate met some of the finalists and past winners. She then went on to view the exhibition.

Taking her seat for the main ceremony, the Duchess of Cambridge sat between Sir David Attenborough and Sir Michael Dixon.

The overall prize went to American photographer Michael Nichols whose black and white image of a pride of lions resting with their clubs in Tanzania's Serengeti National Park impressed the judges.

Right after the presentation, Kate left the guests to begin their meals and headed home.

The Duchess looked elegant in a pale jade full-length, figure-hugging bespoke Jenny Packham gown. The dress featured 3/4 length sleeves, a concealed back zipper with a shorter underskirt falling on the thigh and draping at the waist.

On a side note, the above picture shows the slightest hint of Kate's baby bump...adorable in my opinion.

She also brought back her pale pink L.K.Bennett Agata ankle strap sandals (£175) which she debuted at the 2011 ARK gala.

In her hand, the Duchess of Cambridge held a modified soft pink python Alexander McQueen clutch. The original skull closures have been removed.
