It's Three Engagements in Kensington for Kate

Yesterday, Kate undertook a day of engagements in Kensington, London. She made three separate appearances in the borough.

Her first engagement was to attend a coffee morning at Family Friends Kensington.  This is a voluntary organization providing befriending and mentoring services to families in deprived areas of the borough.

She got an overview of the charity's work before joining families at the coffee morning and meeting some of the trained volunteers who work for the organization.

The Duchesses second engagement was to formally open the Kensington Aldridge Academy. It is a new school for pupils aged 11 to 18.

She met with governors, staff and students before touring the new building and watching part of a lesson. Kate then watched a dance performance in the school's theatre and unveiled a plaque before visiting the school's Creates Hub for young entrepreneurs.

Lastly, Kate formally opened the £29.4 million Kensington Leisure Centre. She toured the facilities and watched groups of children from nearby primary schools playing various sports in the Main Sports Hall.

Her visit concluded with a reception in the dance studio with speeches and the unveiling of a plaque.
